Abu Dhabi Exhibition, World Trade Center, 2021, UAEIn 2021, AAAFRESH123 presented a large-scale exhibition in the central atrium of the World Trade Center Abu Dhabi, designed by Foster + Partners under the direction of Norman Foster.
Surrounded by one of the city's most prominent architectural landmarks, the exhibition brought together a selection of collaborative works that introduced the collective's visual language to the Middle East.
The opening coincided with a live painting performance during the launch of a new restaurant, where AAAFRESH123 transformed a Rolls-Royce into a one-of-a-kind artwork in front of a live audience. The project extended beyond painting on canvas, demonstrating the collective's practice of translating its visual language onto objects, architecture and public space.
The exhibition marked AAAFRESH123's first major presentation in the United Arab Emirates and laid the foundation for future projects in the region, including a subsequent exhibition in Dubai.
It remains an important milestone in the international development of the collective.
